Laminate flooring from J.P. Flooring

Laminate flooring is a cost-effective, easy-to-maintain alternative to hardwood flooring. Laminate flooring can replicate the natural texture, color, and grain traditional wood flooring.

What is laminate flooring

Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product fused together with a lamination process. As mentioned above, laminate can mimic wood or sometimes stone by using a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer. The core of laminate is typically made up of a resin and fiber materials. This flooring is designed to be installed using tongue and groove planks that are clicked into one another. Some brands also offer a glued backing. Laminate will normally "float" over a sub-floor on top of an underlayment, which provides moisture protection and sound reduction.

The benefits of laminate flooring

The most obvious benefit of laminate flooring is that it's a cost-saving alternative to traditional hardwood or stone floors, but results in the same look. Cleaning and maintenance are simple and installation of laminate flooring is straightforward. It will not fade in the sunlight and is incredibly resistant to scratches and stains. It also does not crack or expand like traditional hardwood. The synthetic surface does not absorb spills or dirt which makes it a great choice for anyone concerned for sanitary or allergy purposes.
