Can I get a marble look with luxury vinyl flooring?

Can I get a marble look with luxury vinyl flooring?

Sure! You can get marble look floors or granite, quartz, slate, travertine, terrazzo, or limestone ones. Right now, a hot trend is to turn your bathroom into an upscale spa with marble floors and colorful tiles on the wall. Since this material is 100% waterproof, durable, and easy to clean, it's OK to use it on floors and walls.

Installing for even more realism

One of the great benefits of luxury vinyl (also called just LVF) is that it comes cut into square, tile-sized pieces, called luxury vinyl tile or long planks. You are not limited to how you use the forms.

Some people use luxury vinyl plank for stone mimics because they say the larger format and fewer seams of LVP give it a more continuous look like that of quarried slabs. Others may use LVT for wood look tiles. There’s absolutely no limit as to what you can do!

About luxury vinyl

The nature-inspired images are taken with high-definition photography, which is accurate and vivid. You'll see knots, grains, and swirls with the wood looks, while the stone looks show veining variations. Ceramic tile initiations will feature bold, bright colors and all the latest patterns, such as hexagons and other geometrics, chevron and herringbone patterns, flora and fauna, etc.

Micro beveling and embossing add depth, dimension, and textured looks, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed. Finishes are available in matte, gloss, and high gloss colors.

In addition, LVF is five times thicker than original vinyl with a top, transparent, melamine wear layer that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs. On top of that is a clear urethane finish that adds extra strength and shine. Installation is also easy, especially when it's a floating floor where the pieces click to mat and "float" over a subfloor without adhesives.

With modern technology, luxury vinyl flooring offers a truly authentic look and is an excellent alternative to natural materials.
